Growing up in Germany, having lived in the U.S., and having criss-crossed countries and continents in his many travels, Dr. Thomas J. Kinne has become personally acquainted with languages and cultures in all parts of the German- and English-speaking world. It is easy for him to project himself into a wide variety of situations and locales, because he has been there, seen it, done it. And even though he “only” translates between English and German (because it is only in those two languages that he can achieve the level of perfection that he himself demands from a translation), he is acquainted with many other languages and takes great care in properly rendering foreign names and terms.
