TJK on Television
Quick thinking and a trove of knowledge that is available at the drop of a hat: These are the
requirements for fast, accurate, and flawless translations. But they are also the prerequisite for succeeding on Jeopardy!, America’s most beloved game show for more than 50 years. When
the show premiered on German TV in 1994, Thomas Kinne was the very first winner – winning all five shows of week one. This success qualified him, of course, for the Tournament of
Champions as well as the first (and only) international Jeopardy! Olympic Tournament in 1996, where he represented Germany. With dozens of appearances on shows such as the German
versions of The Chase, The Weakest Link, Tic-Tac-Dough, Fifteen to One, 1 vs. 100, and many others, TJK has become one of the most successful
game-show contestants on German television. Since 2018, he is also one of the “Chasers” on the German version of The Chase.
